Dr. Yap Wee See is a Senior Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with sub-specialties in Sleep Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He has a practice in Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital and is also a Visiting Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Yap Wee See was previously the Head of Department and Senior Consultant of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2011 to 2014. During his time there, he played a key role in setting up the Sleep Laboratory and Sleep Clinic. He was also involved in curriculum planning in respiratory medicine at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Imperial College-Nanyang Technological University, where he served as an Adjunct Associate Professor.
Dr. Yap has extensive experience in treating respiratory diseases, including being directly involved in the treatment of severe SARS patients during the SARS crisis in 2003. For his contributions, he was awarded the Pingat Kepujian (The Commendation Medal) in the 2003 National Day Awards for Overcoming SARS.
He is a Fellow of several prestigious medical colleges, including the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), the Royal College of Physicians (London), and the American College of Chest Physicians. He also completed a medical fellowship in Sleep Medicine and Bronchology at the Vancouver General Hospital and the University of British Columbia, Canada.
Dr. Yap Wee See has been recognized for his commendable performance and devotion to duty and was awarded The Commendation Medal by the Prime Minister’s Office Singapore.
