Kids martial arts classes available at FaMA – Fitness and Martial Arts in Singapore:

1. Little Warriors Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 4-5): This program focuses on teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through fun and safe BJJ games. It helps improve balance, speed, agility, and mental readiness.

2. Medium Monstros Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 6-8): The Medium Monstros class is a progression from the Little Warriors program. It introduces more specific techniques, drills, and sequences for BJJ development. Students also engage in supervised sparring.

3. Junior Champions Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 9-15): In this program, students gain insights into techniques and tournament rules from experienced BJJ competitors of the highest level.

4. Little Tigers Muay Thai (Ages 4-7): This class focuses on developing coordination, reaction timings, and motor skills through learning to kick, punch, knee, and elbow. It also emphasizes personal development, including respect, focus, discipline, and teamwork.

5. Junior Tigers Muay Thai (Ages 8-12): The Junior Tigers class further develops students’ Muay Thai techniques, coordination, reactions, defensive skills, agility, and speed. It includes low-impact partner drills, specific sparring, and promotes cooperation and social skills.


Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes available at FaMA – Fitness and Martial Arts in Singapore:

1. Basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: This class is suitable for people with little to no experience in martial arts. It focuses on teaching the necessary techniques and principles of sport and self-defense Jiu-Jitsu in a fun and interactive way. The class covers control holds, submissions, and leveraging on the ground to overcome a larger or stronger opponent.

2. Intermediate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: This class is designed for students who have already acquired some experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It teaches more advanced aspects of the discipline and includes more free sparring. The goal of this class is to develop mature practitioners who can connect different parts of their game into a cohesive whole, allowing them to develop their own style.

3. No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: This class is a complement to gi Jiu-Jitsu and focuses on grappling without the traditional gi uniform. Instead, participants wear shorts and a rashguard. The No-Gi program at FaMA emphasizes wrestling takedowns and leg locks suitable for No-Gi competitions, which are increasing in popularity.

4. Theory of JJ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: This class is dedicated to exploring and experimenting with the principles and details of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques. It focuses on principles with broad practical applications in the overall game of students, as well as specific details that can make a difference in the success rate of applying techniques.

5. Private Lesson Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: FaMA offers one-on-one training sessions tailored to the individual needs of the student. These sessions provide an opportunity to fast-track learning, focus on specific areas of concern, and work on specific goals related to Muay Thai or self-defense. Please note that this class is not applicable to the free week trial.


Muay Thai and boxing classes available at FaMA – Fitness and Martial Arts in Singapore:

1. Basic Muay Thai: This class focuses on teaching techniques through minimal contact partner drills, combining offense and defense. It helps students understand body mechanics, distance, timing, and introduces pad work for physical conditioning. It is suitable for beginners.

2. Intermediate Muay Thai: This class is for students who have graduated from the Basic class. It offers more rigorous training with an emphasis on offensive and defensive strategies, as well as sophisticated techniques in the art of Muay Thai. It helps students develop balance, speed, and power. Grade 1 and above are eligible for this class.

3. Basic Boxing: This class complements the Muay Thai program and focuses on teaching offensive and defensive techniques in boxing. It also covers footwork, distance, and angles. It is suitable for anyone looking to get fit and start boxing.

4. Sparring Muay Thai: This class allows students to apply the techniques learned in the Basic class in a safe and fun environment. It is for those interested in sparring to test their Muay Thai skills.

5. Private Lesson Muay Thai: These are one-on-one training sessions tailored to the needs of the student. It provides an opportunity to fast track learning, focus on specific goals, and work on areas of concern. Private lessons can be scheduled at a convenient time.


Fitness classes available at FaMA – Fitness and Martial Arts:

1. All-in-One Fitness Classes: These classes incorporate moves from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Boxing, and Kickboxing, along with functional training. The aim is to develop flexibility, mobility, strength, balance, and stamina. These classes are suitable for everyone.

2. Strength & Conditioning: This class is designed to improve overall athletic performance, including strength, agility, mobility, explosiveness, and muscular endurance. Students can expect to go through exercises and movement concepts that include bodyweight drills, kettlebells, medicine balls, and slam balls. It is recommended that students have a basic-intermediate experience with weight training.

3. Muay Thai/Kickboxing Conditioning: This class focuses on improving the physical performance of a Muay Thai athlete. The program includes exercises and movement concepts to enhance strength, speed, and stamina specifically for Muay Thai. Students can expect up to 3-minute rounds of work, including footwork drills, ladder drills, dumbbells, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises, and bag work.
